Our Commitment to You

At Longtails Rowing Club, we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all our members. The information provided here outlines the general guidelines and terms for membership. We want every youth rower to have a safe, fun, and rewarding experience.  By joining the club, members and their families agree to the following.​​​​​​​​​

Safety First

Safety is our top priority. All rowers must be able to swim at least 150 meters unassisted.

Rowers will follow safety rules, wear flotation devices when required, and listen to instructions from coaches and volunteers at all times.

Respect &Teamwork

Treat teammates, volunteers, and equipment with care and respect.

Bullying, unsafe behavior, or repeated disregard for instructions will not be tolerated.

Participation & Attendance

Be on time and ready for scheduled practices. If you can’t attend a session, please let us know in advance.

Proper rowing attire is expected during training.

Equipment & Facilities

Handle boats, oars, and all gear with care. Members may be responsible for costs caused by intentional damage or neglect.

Parent Support & Community

Parents/guardians play a big role in making the club possible. Whether helping as a launch driver, assisting during events, or volunteering in other ways, your support helps the club grow.

Liability

Rowing is a water sport with natural risks. The club is not responsible for personal injuries or loss of personal items. A signed waiver is required for participation.

Photos & Media

Photos or videos may be taken during sessions for training or promotional purposes. Let us know if you prefer not to be included.

Growing Together

As the club develops, these terms may be updated to best serve the needs of our athletes and families. Notice will be provided before any changes take effect.
