Sculling is a style of rowing where each rower uses two oars — one in each hand. In sweep rowing or gig rowing, each rower uses just one oar. Sculling builds balance and coordination, and it’s the technique used in most college and international competitions.
The club is open to middle and high school students, typically ages 11 to 18.
No experience is required! Beginners start with the Learn-to-Row program to develop basic skills and safety knowledge before moving on to more advanced training.
Sessions are held at the Bermuda Rowing Association facilities, with launch points at the Dinghy Club or White’s Island, depending on the session size and schedule.
Sign up using our official registration form (link provided on the website or flyers). You’ll receive a confirmation email with details and what to bring for your first session.
Practices are held 2 to 3 times per week, depending on the weather and scheduling.
